Andy Boddington was elected Chairman of CPRE Shropshire at the 2010 AGM on 13 April.

Andy has been campaigning with CPRE Shropshire for two years and was previously Vice Chairman. Before moving to Shropshire in 2008, He was Campaign Manager for CPRE Oxfordshire.

On appointment Andy said: “It’s a great privilege to be elected Chairman. CPRE Shropshire’s campaigning grows ever stronger and media coverage has increased remarkably over the last year. But we do face some considerable challenges. We need to find ways of making ourselves more inclusive of our membership and more consultative of opinion within and beyond CPRE. We need to increase our membership and strengthen our presence in new media, including social networks. I will be conducting a review of the way we work with a view to agreeing with colleagues a Blueprint for Shropshire’s Future.”
