Coppice management training 2023
We are offering three 2-day coppice management workshops for the first time this year and our tutor will be Richard Thomason, of Wild at Westhope. The woodland we will use is on Shropshire's wonderful Wenlock Edge.

The final workshop will be held on 30 November and 1 December 2023.

The sweet cut, different methods 

Coppice types and species

Neglected, over stood, estimating age

Managing light – standard density 

Creating a coup rotation

Pest control – Deer management 

Coppice stock density 

Layering, stooling, planting, natural regen
