"Standing up for the Shropshire Countryside"
Our aim is to promote the beauty, tranquillity and diversity of Shropshire's landscape by encouraging environmentally sustainable use of land and other resources in the county's towns and countryside. We are an independent charity supported by the resources and guidance of CPRE's National Office in London.
Shropshire is a largely rural county, known for its tranquillity, beautiful countryside and attractive market towns and villages. However, this also brings pressure for new housing from local people wishing to stay in the area, but also from people retiring into Shropshire and from would-be commuters,
CPRE Shropshire is a charity run by volunteers. Help support us by becoming a member, donating or volunteering. We need your help to protect our beautiful Shropshire countryside. As a charity, we rely solely on fundraising to enable our campaign, we cannot do this without the help of our generous supporters.
