Sense of Place: workshops

CPRE Shropshire's Sense of Place is a series of artist workshops, talks, and collaboration between CPRE and local artists as well as an exhibition.
About Sense of Place
The venue for Sense of Place is the Gateway Gallery, Shrewsbury. The exhibition at the Gateway Gallery is free and open for viewing throughout October and will include photographs taken by Shropshire residents of their favourite parts of the county. Images were submitted to the Sense of Place photographic awards over the summer of 2025.
Workshops
On 31st October 2025, there will be a series of 5 talks/demos/workshops taking place at the Gateway Centre on the last day of the Sense of Place exhibition - two drawing workshops, a talk/demo on spinning with straw, a talk about a community art project and a creative writing workshop.

Sense of Place exhibition
An exhibition of selected images from the CPRE Shropshire Sense of Place photographic awards will take place from 2nd to 31st October at the Gallery. The show is free to enter and is open every weekday through October on the ground floor of the Centre.
